*Note: Regardless of the delivery of any information offered, it is my right to make art in any capacity. It can be controversial, it can be full of hate, it can be full of love, pink fairies and unicorns, or crosses, satan and Indians.

I can, in full knowledge of who "rightfully" wears and Indian headdress, make art with it.

Under no circumstances is this means for vulgarity or death threats.*

The gems so far from this series:

"RE-LEARN YOUR OWN CULTURE, WHITE HIPSTER BITCH!
REALIZE WHAT YOUR PEOPLE HAVE DONE AND CONTINUE TO DO!
INFORM YOURSELF ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE PERPETUATION OF THIS, SATIRICAL, HYPER-SEXUALIZED, DISRESPECTFUL IMAGERY!
GO BACK WHERE YOUR PEOPLE CAME FROM AND LEARN SOME FUCKING ANTHROPOLOGY!"

"You are LITERALLY too fucking stupid to insult."

"So what makes you think that this is even remotely okay? And why are you getting any praise for this at all?"

Check out the other images, and if you have tons of time to kill the comment threads can be pretty entertaining :)

In the age where everyone is a modge podge of different races and cultural backgrounds, I no longer see the need to divide.  Can't someone just take one thing that is beautiful from another culture, and then use it in a beautiful way celebrating that objects beauty.  This is not racist in any way, shape, or form.  It is a culmination of someone's idea to use a traditional piece of Native American headdress and giving it's complexity (not one of those cheap pieces of crap that you find in some nick knack shop) a wonderful contrast of a nude pale skinned woman.  There is no longer a clear line of us and them.  It is a line that is now blurred into a wonderful rainbow of shared multiculturalism and racial identity.  Those that fight the hardest against that fact are the true racists that then use that card as they see fit to throw their ideas of purity on those that no longer see it as black and white, red and yellow.  They feel like if there is no purity that the culture dies instead of spreading and preserving it, and allowing it to stay alive in the minds of all.

truly intriguing......... never seen so many overtly reverse racist comments.

@ cyberocalypse ... this sort of comment is exactly why minority classes of people get jumped all over. youve taken your personal grievances and splattered them all over a site for artists, and believe that your cause is the "right" one.
If you have such issues about "white" people...give back all the technology of ours you use and exploit, all things made by white culture..and go back to the way your ancestors lived. THAT...would be the right thing to do...anything else is merely hypocrisy on your part and acting the "victim".

@ feathernotdot. "People just scoffing at peoples beliefs and hiding under the guise of "art" and the internet" ..... really though???. I dont see this artist hiding anything she is doing , and certainly not behind the guise of art. Her work is displayed and used all over the place, not merely online...so that blows the internet theory too. She has backed up everything she has said , and stood her ground for the work she does , and creates. Not only is that art...thats an artist with a spine and personal integrity.

Art is art...always has been...always will. It is in the eye of the beholder and is always subjective. We all have the choice to like or dislike ....just as we all have the choice to ignore and move on.
this is an "artists " website ...not a political forum for haters and those who attack others.

Id choose to look at a pretty redhead with integrity over racists with "victim" mentality any day. As would 99.9999% of people on here.

If there was a button for showing appreciation for a good comment, I'd be hitting it right now. Well said. :)

I like how I'm a "gem" like I'm something to be laughed at. This is the whole reason this is an issue. People just scoffing at peoples beliefs and hiding under the guise of "art" and the internet. If things don't change then you're going to get a whole new generation that has nothing but contempt for the people who pushed them out of their lands, their homes, their way of life. I've been trying to be as civil as I possibly can in this matter. Screaming and telling people to fuck off or that they're a bitch will solve nothing but help divide and conquer.

Not to be laughed at, just as a source of entertainment for those who enjoy the drama :)

This isn't drama, it's someone who sees something being misrepresented by another culture. This isn't entertainment, it's demeaning. And if you want the art to be taken seriously then you're going to have to have serious conversations about the work that you're putting out. But you don't seem want to look at it that way.

My art is taken seriously. No matter what you, or others deem as misrepresented. :)

And I don't entertain the trolls. You're lucky to get any response at all.

Just leave my page and move on with your life :)

I'm not trolling though. Trolls don't mean what they say. Trolls are out there just to get a rise out of people. I'm actually being serious here. I'm trying to preserve what it means to be a Native American. There are so many misrepresentations throughout culture and pop culture in the United States and Canada. If I don't say anything in a respectful manner then you'll have a bunch of people who just want to yell and scream these things at you, throwing around curse words that demean their intent.
